The Men’s and Women’s GSS Round 1 and 2 were held in testing 2-4 ft conditions at the Banzai Pipeline today.

Standouts of the mens Rounds featured and international mix of riders lead by Puerto Rican’s Rafa Rivera and Ruben “Babby” Quinones with heat scores of 15.01 and 13.88 respectively.

Local rider Bud Miyamoto also put on a good performance in the windy conditions, posting a heat score of 12.83 out of a possible 20.

Australia’s Ewan Donnachie also managed to secure a spot in Round 3 which is scheduled to possibly run on Thursday 21st Feb.

Round 3 of the mens will feature seeded Riders such as Lachlan Cramsie (AUS) and Hawaiian Keahi Parker match up against the field of successful competitors who have survived Round 2.
